Future at Cincy State? Logistics – and budget cuts - Cliff Peale, Cincinnati Enquirer

Cincinnati State will start a logistics program to connect to local companies. It also will cut $3.6 million to balance next year’s budget. The college will eliminate 13 jobs, including some layoffs. New programs – and new budget cuts – are on the agenda next year for Cincinnati State Technical & Community College. The college will start a logistics program hoping to connect its Supply Chain Management program to local companies, who might then recruit students as co-ops or hire them after graduation. At the same time, it will cut $3.6 million to balance next year’s budget. That includes eliminating 13 jobs, some of them already vacant. “We can no longer have sections of seven or eight people, which we have had in the past,” President O’dell Owens said. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2014/06/25/future-cincy-state-logistics-budget-cuts/11353299/
