Local college needs to shrink budget by $2 million - Kathryn DiGisi, WPSD

The board said some of the campus' physical education courses were not up to par. "They said were no longer eligible to be submitted for state funding," said O'Keefe. That means the campus will have to find a way to shrink their budget by nearly $2 million. "With the state budget the way it is, any decrease in state funding is tough, but we have handled situations like this before and we'll get through it again," said O'Keefe. He says they will do their best to make those cuts go unnoticed to students and faculty. "I think they're doing a good job with keeping the teachers equipped with the supplies they need," said one student. The board at John A. Logan should have an official plan as to how to cut the budget at the start of next year. http://www.wpsdlocal6.com/story/26631265/local-college-needs-to-shrink-budget-by-2-million
