SCCC, over faculty, student pleas, cuts 11 jobs to close budget deficit - Daniel Freel, New Jersey Herald

In the face of public opposition, the Sussex County Community College Board of Trustees voted to eliminate 11 faculty positions in an effort to make up a half-million-dollar deficit in the 2015-2016 budget. Among the employees losing their jobs were Debbie McFadden, the school's vice president of student affairs, and Associate Director of Campus Life Heidi Gregg from the school's Student Affairs Department. The board voted 8-2 to eliminate McFadden's and Gregg's positions, as well as two assistant professor positions, one associate dean, three coordinators from the Academic Affairs Department; one assistant director and one web developer from the Institutional Advancement Department and a custodial position from the Facilities Department. All positions were full-time. http://www.njherald.com/story/29162644/2015/05/26/sccc-over-faculty-student-pleas-cuts-11-jobs-to-close-budget-deficit
