Olive-Harvey College construction remains on hold despite new state funding - Gregory Pratt, Chicago Tribune

he new state budget includes money for a stalled construction project Mayor Rahm Emanuel planned to make a centerpiece of his efforts to reform the city's community colleges, but it's not clear when the work will restart or whether the money is enough. For the past two years, the half-built husk of a building has sat vacant at Olive-Harvey College on the Far South Side. The Olive-Harvey Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Center is part of an ambitious effort to prepare students for good-paying jobs as part of City Colleges of Chicago's College to Careers program. It was originally scheduled to open in spring 2015, but construction halted that summer amid the state's budget crisis. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-olive-harvey-construction-update-met-20170723-story.html
