Dual credits obscure college enrollment drop - Bob Mercer, Mitchell Republic
Without high school students taking dual credit courses in recent years, South Dakota's public universities would have seen resident headcounts fall by more than 5,300 since 2010, according to a report discussed Tuesday by state government's Board of Regents. The report said there were 291 high school students and 36,149 other students in the universities system in fall 2010. This fall there were 3,035 high school students and 33,627 other students.
